The Hoover Watercolor Society is located in Shreveport,
Louisiana and was originally known as the Shreveport Watercolor Society.

An untitled work by Ms. Terry Hershey,
at 98-years old, the Hoover Watercolor Society's most senior member |
The Society was founded in 1958 by four local artists,
including Dr. H B Wright - Curator of the Louisiana Exhibit Museum,
to provide an exhibition as a stimulus toward quality artwork, as well
as to increase the interest of the public in fine watercolor art.
Today the Hoover Watercolor Society sponsors three juried exhibitions,
a membership show in Bossier City, A Spring Show and a Small Painting
Show in Shreveport.
